“We have a lot of creative elements in the band,” he told Tattoo.com in a new interview. “And we still are old school. We still consider putting out an album when we talk about recording. Actually, I would like to have the albums maybe every couple of years, just for the fact that we are getting older. And as long as there’s songs available, which we have plenty of, and we’ve got a band that’s right on their ‘A’ game right now and we’re in a great place creatively. So, [there’s] no shortage of inspiration to write music, but, as you know, we’ve gotta tour; we’ve gotta promote the record. And the previous album, ‘Condition Hüman’, we toured on that basically for almost four years. Then it was… You get the phone call from the record company, ‘I think it’s time to put out an album.’ If I had it my way, I’d go every other year.”

“The Verdict” was released on March 1 via Century Media Records. The disc was produced, mixed, and mastered by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (ROB ZOMBIE, ICED EARTH, HATEBREED) at Uberbeatz in Lynwood, Washington; Planet-Z in Wilbraham, Massachusetts; and Watershed Studio in Seattle, Washington.

For the past two years, drummer Scott Rockenfield has been taking time off from QUEENSRŸCHE‘s touring activities to spend time with his young son, who was born in early 2017. Filling in for him is former KAMELOT drummer Casey Grillo.

La Torre, who has played drums since the age of 13, laid down the drum tracks on “The Verdict”.

QUEENSRŸCHE‘s spring U.S. headline tour with special guests FATES WARNING kicked off on March 2 in Orlando, making stops in major markets such as New York, Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles, before wrapping up on April 3 in Seattle.
